TWO DAY ONE-ON-ONE PHOTOGRAPHY WORKSHOP
Do you own a digital SLR camera? Not entirely sure if you're using it to it's fullest capabilities? Have you wanted to learn how to control your camera, and your shot? 3D Garage.com is proud to offer a full day, One-On-One Digital Photography Workshop with Dan Ablan. Make your way to Chicago and spend two days with Dan walking the great city of Chicago, learning about how to use your camera, exposure, lighting, textures, and much more. Learn about proper apertures, shutter speeds, and composition. You'll discuss lenses, memory cards, image formats, RAW vs JPG, and anything else that you can think of. This two day workshop is not setup to have you learn theory, or sit in a classroom with a dozen or more people. You are not sharing your time with anyone else. Instead, you and Dan Ablan will meet in themorning in downtown Chicago.
With the day mapped out for you, you'll walk, shoot, learn, explore - you'll learn to "see" like you never have before. You'll stop looking "at" the camera and instead, look through the lens to see a whole new world of photography. You'll finally learn how to get your camera out of "auto" mode and learn how to use the other functions that you've been avoiding. You'll learn how to compose shots, look for interesting subjects, and even experiment with photographing people in a photo journalistic style. This is something Dan has been doing for the past 25 years.
But that's not where it ends. After a full day of shooting, we'll power up the laptops and develop our images on the second day. That's right, develop. The days of processing film might seem long gone, but in reality, it's simply evolved. You'll learn to import, keyword, and manage your ever-growing photo library in Adobe Lightroom. You'll then understand how to process both RAW and JPG files. Learn how to use various presets, actions, and make your great images look outstanding in Adobe Photoshop. You'll be amazed at how a few simple rules will help you stand out as the photographer you've always wanted to be.
But wait, there's more! You'll learn how to harness the power of the internet with a photo-blog. If you're serious about promoting yourself and your photography, this is the only way to go. Every photographer out there today who's making a name for themselves is blogging about their shoots, their clients, and their business. You'll learn how to setup a blog, manage, and post your images online so that you can always be on top of your came and never let your website become stale again.
